Tourist sites in Costa Rica are so plentiful that it can get overwhelming choosing where to go and what to see in just a two week vacation. The following is a suggestion list of sites and attractions that you could add to your itinerary of Costa Rica:
Arenal Volcano National Park
Arenal Volcano National Park is one of the most popular national parks in Costa Rica and a nice place to get up-close to nature while enjoying fun outdoor activities.

Once there, you can take the relatively easy hike down to the pool section for a little a swim under the falls. The hike to the top of La Fortuna is worth doing for the amazing views. Finally, if you’re looking to enjoy a nice relaxing thermal bath while being surrounded by luscious plant forests, you may also visit one of the hot springs in La Fortuna area such as Ecotermales Fortuna or Tabacon Hot Springs.
Jaguar Rescue Center
Jaguar Rescue Center is located right by the border with Panama overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea. The Jaguar Rescue Center is definitely one of the top tourist sites in Costa Rica as it offers the nice opportunity to view and pet a variety of wildlife like snakes, sloth, toucans and gators that you would normally have difficulty getting close to in the wild.Cano Negro
Cano Negro is easily one of the best spots in Costa Rica for viewing birdlife and wildlife in their natural element because of its remoteness. The main attraction in Cano Negro is the wildlife refuge which can only be reaches by boat. Volcan Poas National Park
Volcan Poas National Park is definitely one of the most popular and most visited national parks in Costa Rica since it’s one of the few tourist sites in Costa Rica that you can visit without a tour guide.
The star attraction of the park is Volcan Poas, which boasts one of the most spectacular volcano craters in the world. You can easily and cheaply get to Volcan Poas by bus or car rental from San Jose, though be sure to be there as early as possible (between 8am and 9am) to avoid the fog.
