When we got off at Delhi airport, there was this taxi standing with a placard ready to receive us. We had seen something like Airport pickup while booking but we did not realize it was already included in the holiday package we availed. Oh that was royal and we so loved being treated that way. My mom in law gushed her way into the car and beamed with joy like a small kid. On our way to the hotel we saw many sites that we had just heard of and our driver was the guide telling us small episodes about the place and all. So, guiding us through Delhi, our driver finally got us to the destination.
Our hotel was one beauty. The hotel we had booked came under the economical range of hotels that was marked 3 Star. Now as we entered the hotel premises we were in for a sweet surprise. The reception area was laid out with sofas like a lounge area. The people in and around the reception were courteous and helpful. Once we told them of our bookings they checked with their computers and gave us the room keys. There were people there to carry our luggage and take us to the room.
We reached our room and were flattered on seeing it. It was a huge room with a small bar inside. It had all the basic amenities such as T.V, internet facility, 24 hours security along with an attached bathroom. The room was well lit and the arrangement of the furniture was all aesthetic, giving the room a comfortable and royal look.
The room service was good and efficient. It was indeed the fastest service promised by most fast food restaurants around. The spa was very relaxing. I went there with my mom in law and we relaxed ourselves with their massage treatments. While I picked up Thai massage my mom in law went for Ayurvedic Indian massage. My husband and father in law went to play a game of tennis for, which our hotel was fully equipped. In fact, they had a tennis coach who helped them to polish their game skills. The location of the hotel was its brownie point as we could easily commute to the shopping places and other hotspots of Delhi from our centrally located hotel.
Travel around the city was provided for by the hotel staff in our request and there was a guide too. The hotel had taxis and tour packages for the visits to nearby places. They even guided us to choose the places we must not miss out on during our Delhi tour.
On our last day in Delhi while paying our hotel bill I am sure all of us felt light, relaxed and good. None of us felt that we were paying a bit too much for the amenities and service provided to us by the hotel staff. It was indeed a true value for money stay at our chosen hotel.
